Telok Ayer, once located along Singapore's old coastline, was originally planned as a Chinese district in Raffles' 1822 town plan. However, the diverse immigrant communities that settled here reshaped it, creating a vibrant mix of religious and cultural institutions. At its heart stands Thian Hock Keng Temple, a silent witness to the evolution of this historic site.
Impressions of Telok Ayer was set against the historic Thian Hock Keng Temple. Four distint narratives. As the performance unfolds, dancers will blur the lines between past and present, between history and imagination. This is more than performance - it's an invitation to touch time itself, to feel the continuum of art and heritage that connects us all.
More details on the ticketing to be announced soon.
