Course Fee Policies
 

A.   Payment Policy

  • All students must download and make payments timely via the Taidii Diibear App.

  • A late charge of 10% will be imposed if full payment is not made by the end of Week 2 of the term. The student would not be allowed to attend the lesson if full payment was not made by the end of Week 4 of the term.


B. Withdrawal/Refund Policy


       Refund for Withdrawal Without Cause

  • Any withdrawal requests must be made in writing to education@scdt.com.sg. The amount to be refunded, less an administrative charge of $10 (exclusive of GST), is to be made according to the table below.

  • A cooling-off period of a week is applicable for a maximum refund from the date of full settlement of the course fee and before the Course Commencement Date.

  • SCDT shall follow up within a week after receiving a withdrawal notification from the student. All refunds shall be made via PAYNOW within two weeks from receipt of the duly completed "Course Fee Refund and Transfer Form".

       Refunds for Withdrawal with Cause​
 

  • SCDT shall inform the student immediately within three (3) working days if;

    i.  it fails, for any reason, to commence the Course as the course commencement date;
    ii. it terminates the Course, for any reason, before the course commencement date;
    iii. it fails, for any reason, to complete the Course by the course completion date;
    iv. it terminates the Course, for any reason, before the course completion date;
     

  • SCDT shall within a week of notifying the student in writing of the above circumstances (i) to (vi), provide the student with information and details of an alternative confirmed course arrangement to allow the student to make a timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangement.

  • Students shall be entitled to immediately withdraw from the Course by giving written notice to education@scdt.com.sg.

  • For circumstances under "Refund for Withdrawal with Cause", SCDT shall follow up within a week after notifying the student. A full refund of the remaining course fees will be made via PAYNOW within two weeks from receipt of the duly completed "Course Fee Refund and Transfer Form".



​       Refund Policy - other types of refunds

  • Other requests for refunds (example of overpayment) must be made in writing to education@scdt.com.sg within a month. SCDT shall follow up within a week after receiving a withdrawal notification from the student.

  • The amount to be refunded, less an administrative charge of $10 (exclusive of GST), shall be made via PAYNOW within two weeks from receipt of the duly completed "Course Fee Refund and Transfer Form".

C. Transfer Policy
  • Any transfer request must be made in writing to education@scdt.com.sg, subject to the availability of the Course. SCDT shall follow up within a week after receiving the request.

  • Any course fee shortage, plus an administrative charge of S$10 (exclusive of GST), shall be collected from the student to complete the request.

  • Any excess payment, less an administrative charge of $10 (exclusive of GST), will be refunded to the student via PAYNOW within two weeks from receipt of the duly completed "Course Fee Refund and Transfer Form".

D. Deferment Policy
  • All requests for course deferment must be made in writing to education@scdt.com.sg with all the necessary supporting documents. Students can defer up to a maximum period of one (1) term with valid reasons, subject to approval.

  • Students are encouraged to send their request for deferment a month before the commencement of the term that the student is deferring. Additional fees may apply for requests submitted less than a month before the Course Commencement Date.

  • Approval for deferment is at the sole discretion of SCDT. SCDT will assess and inform the student of the outcome in writing within two weeks from receipt of the deferment request.
