Chinese Dance Fiesta 2022

The Chinese Dance Fiesta is finally back this year with a series of programmes aimed to bring the local Chinese dance community together to deepen the public’s understanding and appreciation of Chinese dance while providing more performing opportunities for budding Chinese dance talents. Beside live performances, there will be a Talk & Demonstration on Mongolian Dance.

Why do They persevere endlessly? What drives Their boundless perseverance?

Choreographed by Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre's Artistic Director Neo Jenny and Creative Director Benedict Soh, “SOAR: A devotion” is inspired by the legendary Huma Bird. In the Hindu scriptures, the Huma Bird is said to never come to rest, living its entire life flying in high sky, even when it lays its eggs. The only time it ceases its flight is when it dies.

Since its inception in 2015, “Under the BIG Tree” has been a highly raved and well-received event by both the young and old alike over the years. Held under an age-old tree at its premise in East Coast, the outdoor dance carnival will feature a wide variety of activities from mesmerizing dance performances to scrumptious food, exciting games, and more. You can also stand a chance to walk away with attractive prizes!
